Quick Catch-Up

Hey, everyone!
It's been a while since I've blogged.  The kids have been keeping me busy.
Here's a few things that have happened since I last wrote.

  • We enjoyed having next-door neighbors for a week.  The boys really liked their dog, Cash, which is huge because both Caleb and Titus are skiddish around dogs.
  • The girls have been crafting a bunch- which is fun, but so messy!  That's what has been occupying so much of my time... picking tiny pieces of paper up off the floor.
  • The weather has gotten warmer here-like in the 70's :)  The humidity is going up, too.  So we are sweaty most of the time. It feels silly turning the air conditioning on when it is only 70, but we are going to have to do it soon.
  • We found a dead snake next to our house!
  • We are getting more accustomed to our road-trip-style-grocery trips.  They are becoming a little more fun and a little less stressful.
  • Some places are starting to open up here. But no churches, yet. :(  Our church back home is having a soft opening this Sunday.  I am very, very, very sad to miss it.
  • The magnolias have begun blooming.  I need to take a pic soon.  The petals are as big as Ezra's face.
  • Our first visitor flies in tomorrow!  My dear friend Alison will be flying into Memphis and spending a few days with us.  Alison and I and another friend Sami (who is coming in July!) have been meeting together in our living room once a week for almost 7 years to read the Word and pray together.  My heart misses that fellowship.  The kids miss those hugs and Ross misses meals that we have shared together.  But tomorrow, we will get a taste of that!
Please pray for safe travels for her and us as we drive about 4 hours round trip tomorrow!

P.S. We all watched The Rise of Skywalker for the first time tonight.  We borrowed it from a brick and mortar video rental store (really!)  And we were all disappointed and confused... Anyone else feel that way, too?

    2. How did you get from Nashville to Mississippi? West to Sugar Tree TN then south? Or southwest through Columbia TN? Do either of you recall?
