We got to go to church today!
I was so excited to go and, yet, anxious, too. The kids had gotten so used to watching half the service at home; they were not thrilled about getting up early, getting dressed up and getting out the door before 9am to drive for half-an-hour to sit through a whole service.
But we did it and enjoyed it!
The church we visited today was different from our church back home: smaller, no band, just one man praying and preaching. But the most important things were the same-rejoicing in a gospel of salvation by grace alone in faith in Christ alone.
It was so good to sing and listen alongside fellow believers. And the people there are so friendly! There were about 7 kids there, not including our family, and they were very excited to visit and play with our 5.
It is our prayer that we would be an encouragement to them all this summer while we are in Mississippi.
Oh, and we liked visiting so much that we were the last family to leave the parking lot. As usual :)
P.S. I don't have any pictures from today. My phone is dying and did not want to cooperate. I hope to take some at the church next week.
