We started the 6 1/2 hour drive to the beach on Monday morning- half an hour before we hoped to leave! That's huge for us! Never before have I driven to the beach in rain and through forest- such a pretty drive.
The trip itself was uneventful- thank you, Jesus!
We arrived at our condo and were able to unpack while the sun was still up.
Ross suggested we walk down to the ocean to enjoy it before dark.
I agreed but didn't really want to go through all the swimsuit changes before and showers after.
So we decided we would just walk alongside it and "not get wet!"
Yeah, right.
Gen "slipped" and got soaked and all bets were off.
All the kids got soaked and loved every minute of it.
This resulted in late night showers and even later dinner, but it was worth it :)
