Fourth of July!

We went out on our neighbors' boat for the Fourth of July.  Ezra and I had not been out on the water yet and it was a neat experience.  There were lots of boats out, so the waves were quite choppy.  Unfortunately, we forgot to take our camera with us.  So we have no pictures.  Fortunately, we did not take our camera with us- I'm pretty certain it would have gotten wet.  At least two times, waves crashed overboard and gear got wet.

We saw many boats with American flags and some red, white and blue decor.  We cruised up to the dam at the Tennessee border and then set anchor in the Dry Creek Cove where the kids were able to jump out and swim.  On our way back to the dock, the older kids took turns riding a raft behind the boat.

All in all, it was a fun day but so very tiring!!  After showering everyone, I was ready for bed at 6pm.  The kids, of course, were not.... Ross took them outside and let them run around with some sparklers before bed.

The next evening, I went out with them and we enjoyed some sparklers and Roman candles.
This video is from that July 5th evening.
The raft  riding is from back in May, but is a good picture of what a day on the lake looks like :)
