After five long travel days, we finally got to see what we drove cross country for, friends and family we love.
First, we met Kate Hershberger at a park in Colombus. Kate used to live in Phoenix. She attended our church and was one of the kids' favorite babysitters.
The weather was quite lovely and the kids enjoyed playing on the playground and playing baseball with stick bats.
Then we drove (just one hour!) to Ashland. We took a tour around town- saw the first house that Ross lived in, the school where his parents' met, and the seminary where they were married.
Finally, we finished with dinner at a local restaurant with Geneva's two sisters, a brother-in-law and cousin. As well as Ross' sister Ann and her family.
I didn't get many pictures tonight. But hope to get many more tomorrow. 🙂
Glad you made it! So sorry your Kentucky plans didn't work out. Looks like I'm missing out on lots of fun! Now hopefully you can relax for a few days...
