The Lord was so gracious to us today. So many details, so many travel plans, so many family members and emotions. And everything fit together perfectly.
We had about 25 people gathered together at the Ashland Cemetery Association to bury Phil and Geneva's ashes.
Uncle Jim Fields officiated the service for us. I had never heard that he also officiated their wedding. That was a special connection.
Aunt Phyllis led us in singing It is Well with my Soul.
Phil was honored with a 21 gun salute and Ross and Ann were presented with a flag by the Ashland Honor Guard.
A few people shared how much Phil and Geneva meant to them. Their generosity, their kindness, the way they listened and prayed. Their commitments to keep in touch with family and to make visits.
Overall, a lovely tribute to some of our very favorite people in the whole world. ❤️
